April recap!

·2 mins

Hey Kiddo,

Wow another monthly recap– your parents are really falling behind! We’re evening out a bit, and things seem to be finding their rhythm. There just isn’t any time.

Ready with Bikes #

We’ve picked up your bike for the season– you’re already on an XS (extra small) adult bike. You’ve mentioned a couple times that you really like your bike, which is great to hear. Hopefully you’ll have it a while. And we’ve identified a spot worth biking to– Xing Fu Tang on Main street. They are a Taiwanese bubble tea shop that has been a revelation lately. We’ve already been with Oma, Isabelle, Talia, Annie, and Evie! They have a clever fortune box that allows you to get your fortune from a box. It is some very clever marketing, it prompts lots of messaging among friends (about Xing Fu Tang)!

Bon Mots and Banger Songs #

Shadow is also learning the routines (maybe). His «go back into the cage» song is Jolene by Dolly Parton. She’s an incredible artist that is turning 80 right about now. Hopefully you’ll come to understand that she is amazing and talented.

In the bon mots department, you’re continuing right along. As your biggest fans, we tend to ask you may questions: how was your time at so-and-so’s house? What did they serve for supper? Did you eat it? Was it good? Were you polite? It was during one of these interrogations that that you let slip a turn of phrase that you let slip a gem.

We had such-and-such. It was good, but don’t make it.

You and Oma were able to, over a couple of sessions, properly do up your «favorite things» mugs. Yours was a cat and Oma’s had tulips around it.

We made our way up to Montreal to celebrate Xav’s 3rd birthday– we spent the day with him at the Eco-Museum on the West Island.

You’re doing great kiddo, keep it up. With all our love, Mum & Dad
