Helena Back in Town #

Hey Kiddo,

We had a pretty special visitor come stay with us for a couple days. Helena and Irene came from Madrid to spend a couple days with us.

Helena is one of your first friends! You and her go all the way back to the early days of daycare.

We weren’t sure how you guys would relate to each other, but you got along great together! As though Helena never left and you’d just seen each other the other day.

You got to play a bit of hookie while Helena was here– maybe not our finest parenting moment, but there have probably been others. You made it out to the Museum of History– but not to take in the usual Children’s Section like you and Helena did so many times before– you got dragged into an educational outing and learned about residential schools in Canada.

The visit was delightful– you guys had a blast. Plans are brewing for the next meeting in Europe already. You’ve got a really special friend in Helena, I hope you take care of this friendship.
