Trout Show Up To Uncolo Day

Uncolo Day #

Another successful Uncolo Day in the books! This year, in addition to you and Naomi, the usual uncolo day regulars, we brought Maddie and Xav along for the fun. Each had recently had a birthday in which they received a fishing rod– so they were ready.

We flipped the order a bit this time. We were out in the morning for trout and then had hot dogs on the way home.

You guys all caught your «2 trout limit» pretty quickly. No one got hooked, but it was a pretty close call– you nearly got uncle Adam!

We followed it up with some hot dogs and fries at Belle Province. You and Naomi remembered that this was the same Belle Prvince from the other time when you guys went crazy at the gumball machines. It didn’t disappoint this time either. I caught a couple pics with Xav before it became clear that he was pretending that his bouncy ball was a gmuball.

Escher & Harry Potter #

The following Sunday you, Oma, mum, and I were off to the shows. We started at Place Bonaventure for «Harry Potter: Visions de Magique».

Following that we walked down Ste Catherine until we got to the MC Escher exhibit. Escher is one of my favorite artists and has been for a long time.

Papineau-Labelle #

We also took Monday off for a Papineau-Labelle fishing adventure. We were back on Lac au Cruches– for some revenge against the time we got shut out there last summer. Only we got shutout again😢

We’ll figure something out sometime. It has been a couple years now that I’ve been trying to show you a brook trout. We’ll figure it out.
